stormy weather

A brief storm blew through here this afternoon. My neighbor lost a tree and a back window on his car. My other neighbor, the quiet one who never leaves his porch, didn't seem very concerned:

We lived here on Great Brook Valley Ave. (bottom photo). We were eating supper when I looked out the window and saw the tree out front blow away. More here. Photos. Slide show. Three hundred mph winds. Ninety-four people died.

arthur

 Hurricane Season starts today.  And already Tropical Storm Arthur has come and gone. 

cold snap

On my morning walk I saw some immobile anoles, wouldn't move even when I touched them.  Some bigger guys in Miami felt the cold, too.
